To better inform and advocate for all the hospices in West Virginia, we built a new website for the Hospice Council of WV in partnership with elevator/fifty/one. We took their tasteful but static old website and created one that was content driven and well integrated with their Facebook. The site features a blog to keep everyone up to date on the Council’s advocacy, and a map tool for a better experience locating hospices.

We used WordPress to best serve the administration of the Council who has limited experience in web development, and worked well on a tight budget as well. Thanks to the CMS, the staff is now able to create and update content on their site. The cheery white template features a lot of green and pink accents to tie in the brand of the logo we created them. The text is large and legible for their older audience while keeping a soft and warm feel. This and our positive choices of imagery all contributes to their messaging of comfortable end of life care.
The dynamic blog and pages full of strategic copy support great SEO. An SSL certificate for the site also puts the site in good ranking. You should no longer let your site go on without that secure s in https. This will put you in better standing with search engines and is a must if you’re handling any data from your customers.
