With the help of Everywhere Local Media and Falling Tree Media, the West Virginia Press Association launched a video news series to cover the 2018 legislative session, aggregating articles from all over the state for a policy-focused wide-angle perspective. Even as a pilot, the response to the series has been extremely positive. Viewers have felt much more connected to what was happening in the WV Capitol with this easily digestible weekly news show.
Throughout most of the season, I was responsible for helping with setup, time code synchronization, shoot take notations, as well as photography. But in the episode below, I was also thrown into the role of a news reporter when the talent was late to the set. I hope I get a little more heads up next time.
