A hidden gem on the West Side of Charleston, WV, even dedicated agriculture fans might not know about the Rebecca Street Urban Farm. Spawned from the Charleston Area Alliance’s WV SAGE program with assistance from WVSU extension, today, Rebecca St has limited resources and is worked entirely by volunteers.

As an ag junkie, I donated some of my time to make sure there was an online presence for Rebecca St Urban Farm on Facebook because being linked to the community was more important than building a full fledged website. I utilized some of the photos I’ve taken there of the gardens and some of the young volunteers making it possible. Plus, there were a few articles about the project that I scheduled to post periodically in the start of the page to link people to current information. Several have shared their gratitude that this community garden is receiving some light shined on it, and a GPS point, too.
